Mitchell Ray Brock, Ph. D. has been a freelance writer for more than 20 years. Concentrating his writing on travel, sports, business, construction and automotive feature writing for a host of different companies. Dr. Brock has been featured on USA Today, eHow, Trails, Golflinks, Readers Digest, The New Yorker, Popular Mechanics, Archeology Today and many other reputable magazines and websites.
Throughout Dr. Brock's career, he has traveled extensively in Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East. This travel experience has enlightened Dr. Brock to many of the themes, customs and religions around the world. The experience gained by living with other cultures and living in different environments has allowed Dr. Brock to expand his knowledge of the world.
Dr. Brock holds degrees in business, religion and archeology through West Virginia University, Pennsylvania State University and Rochville University. It took Dr. Brock more than 20 years to complete his doctorate degree, but eventually he achieved this goal.
After spending four years in the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Brock attended and graduated with a BA and MBA from West Virginia University. While working as a businessman for a Fortune 500 company, Dr. Brock enrolled in the graduate program at Penn State, where he achieved a doctorate degree in religious theology. As Dr. Brock continued to move up the corporate ladder, he also became a Senior Pastor for a local Methodist church. After 11 years as a pastor, Dr. Brock moved onto other interests, including archeology. He enrolled in the graduate program for archeology at Rochville University where he spent five years completing courses, laboratory assignments and field work for his doctorate degree.
Dr. Brock has spent time on more than 16 archaeological digs around the world, including a recent dig south of Corsicana, Texas, as head of the publishing team that documented and recorded all the findings of an archaeological team from Southern Methodist University.
As Dr. Brock grows spiritually and intellectually, he finds out how much he does not know about the people and world around him. He continues to improve his knowledge through education and study, as well as improve himself as a person and human being.
